Overview: Superior Bridge FunFarm

Bridges are often used as a means of transit within the urban form of the city, devoid of any cultural significance beyond its era of construction. Over time,
the DS bridge has evolved its form and function as the city evolved into its current state.

We propose to reinvigorate this entity into a DESTINATION rather than a means of transit.

This can be achieved allowing public access to a rich mix of programmes, which draw the existing culture in and around CVL, thus making it ecological and
socio-culturally sustainable for the local people. This BROWNfield interevention maintains the rawness of this urban form while adapting it to current needs of
regeneration. The flat terrain of the existing site is ‘twisted’ to allow for a TERRAIN, possible for cross-breeding of programs.

Five sets of programs, derived from urban dwelling sustenance, create a rich-palimpsest as they create fields, objects, terrains and loose areas inviting exploration
and maintaining an inviting scale; thus creating a FUNFarm out of the raw bridge.

An ecosystem of society and culture is created when the production and consumption of activity on the FARM is Cleveland CrowdSourced, its terrain allowing this
playground to be put to ADAPTIVE Re-Use!!
